Building Manager
Provides overall assistance to the Student Center and its customers while ensuring excellent service.
Manages paperwork and office duties essential to department functions.
Oversees day-to-day operations and events on Ferguson grounds.
Has a thorough understanding of Student Center programs/events and services.
Responsible for opening and closing the building.
Supervises other student staff positions.
Student Support Staff
Information Desk Assistant
Provides directions and information about campus events, services, and facilities.
Manages lost and found items, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
Maintains knowledge of current and upcoming events at the Student Center and across campus.
Assists with special projects and tasks as assigned by the building manager.
Upholds high standards of customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
Conference Coordinator
Completes the majority of building and event setups and breakdowns, including moving furniture and handling audio-visual equipment.
Operates the Information Desk, staying informed about current and upcoming events.
Manages lost and found items, provides campus directions, and welcomes guests.
Upholds high customer service standards in all interactions.
Supports emergency response processes as needed by the building manager.
Event Assistant
Provides reception and assistance in the Reservations Office, handling phone calls and emails.
Processes reservation requests using an online event management system.
Assists students and campus partners with planning meetings and events.
Utilizes event planning software to create unique event space diagrams.
Maintains strong customer service standards.
Assists with special events as needed.
Technical Service Assistant
Provides hardware and software support for Student Center staff and event equipment.
Troubleshoots audio-visual equipment issues.
